Introduction

Welcome to Gatwick London Airport Taxi (here “we”, “us”, “our”). This taxi terms & conditions governs your use of our taxi and airport transfer services in London and the booking of our services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Definitions

  • “Booking” means your reservation for taxi or transfer services.
  • “Customer / You” refers to the person making the booking.
  • “Fare” means the price quoted for the journey.
  • “Driver” means the person providing the taxi service.
  • “Vehicle” means the taxi, car, or minivan allocated for your trip.
  • “No-Show” means failing to present at the pickup location at the agreed time without notice.

Booking & Confirmation

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
  • Once confirmed, you will receive a booking and confirmation reference via email.
  • It is your responsibility to provide accurate details such as name, email, contact number, pick-up and drop-off address, date, time, luggage requirements, and passenger count.

Payment

  • Fares must be paid in full at the time of booking unless agreed otherwise.
  • We accept all major debit/credit cards and other payment methods shown at checkout.
  • If your card payment is declined, we may not be able to fulfil the booking.
  • We operate a fixed-fare policy, meaning the price confirmed at booking stays the same even if delays occur during your journey.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellation up to 24 hours before scheduled pickup: full refund (minus admin fee if applicable).
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup: cancellation charge applies.
  • No refund is given for No-Shows or cancellations after the free window ends.
  • Refunds, where due, will be processed back to the original payment method within up to 5 business days.

Waiting Time

  • For airport pickups, we include a complimentary waiting time (e.g., 30–60 minutes after actual landing).
  • For private address pickups, a standard free waiting time applies (e.g., 10–15 minutes).
  • Additional waiting time may be charged if the driver must wait beyond the complimentary period.

No-Show & Late Arrival

  • If you fail to arrive at the pickup location or contact us before the waiting time expires, the booking will be considered a No-Show.
  • No refunds will be issued for No-Shows.
  • Extra charges may apply for additional waiting time.

Vehicle & Luggage

  • You must choose a vehicle suitable for the number of passengers and luggage.
  • The company reserves the right to change the vehicle type if necessary.
  • Excess luggage may incur additional charges or require a larger vehicle.

Passenger Conduct

  • All passengers must behave respectfully.
  • Gatwick London Airport Taxi reserves the right to refuse service for violent, abusive, or intoxicated passengers.
  • You are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle.

Liability & Insurance

  • We are not responsible for delays or disruptions caused by traffic, weather, or flight changes.
  • Our liability for loss or damage (except personal injury) is limited to the booking value.
  • Vehicles and drivers are fully insured as required by UK laws, but personal belongings are carried at your own risk.

Amendments to Bookings

  • Changes to bookings (time/date/route) should be made as soon as possible.
  • Amendments are subject to availability and additional charges.
  • Last-minute changes (within 24 hours of pickup) may not be accommodated.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England & Wales.
